What is BaZi?
BaZi — “Eight Characters,” or the Four Pillars of Destiny — is a Chinese astrological system that reads your birth year, month, day, and hour as four pairs of symbols. Each pair combines a Heavenly Stem and an Earthly Branch, mapping your chart onto the five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. What is True Solar Time?
Clocks lie — politely. Your time zone stretches one standard hour across up to fifteen degrees of longitude, so two people born at “8:00 a.m.” in the same zone can experience sunrise an hour apart. True Solar Time corrects your clock time using your exact longitude and the equation of time, recovering the actual position of the Sun at your birth.
